This somewhat light-weight book covers individual behavior
within group situations, further subdivided to address how behavior varies
with a "boss," a "peer," and with a "subordinate"
(classic command-and-control labels that do not always map well
to technical environments and today's facilitation-based leadership
and management styles). There's some practical advice for specific
cases, but the author seems to be striving for the path of least offense
rather than what may be most effective, especially with employees whose behavior
is disruptive to a work environment that is reeling under the stresses caused
by the nature of the work and the long hours employed (as in most technical
projects). In short, the really difficult cases get a shallow and less than
satisfactory treatment. This text may be a good intro for some, but I would
recommend the more substantive work of authors such as John Maxwell, Max Dupree,
Larry Burkett, just to name a few.
