I initially acquired this book as an introduction to, and overview
of, basic MBA fundamentals. This text satisfied that goal in the functional
areas, but at a very high level. I found the coverage of the challenges of
international business, and the complexity of strategic alliances to be useful.
The articles provided in this text are by noted industry educators and
experts, and are well-written. However, if you are looking for a more
in-depth look at specific functional areas, this is not the book to
purchase — check it out of your local library as light reading.
